  • This role will combine Group Reporting as well as end to end ownership of the results and commercial support of the Sustainability business (cost management, reporting, forecasting, business case analysis)

The Woolworths Group Finance team is positioned to support change and continuous improvement across the business whilst continually focussing on providing excellent customer experiences to key stakeholders.

About the role

The purpose of this Business Partnering role is to collaborate across the Group to understand Sustainability financial investment and support Sustainability overhead management financial strategy, be an integral part of the annual budget process, and monthly forecast cycles and create supporting analysis for business opportunities. 

Sustainability Team Support

  • Cost centre management including Month end close
  • Business partner support, perform financial analysis and provide insight to be used in decision support
  • Proactively liaise with relevant teams for forecast submissions
  • Annual AOP build
  • Business case support for the cost centres
  • Support Sustainability cost centre managers with monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and the analysis of financial performance
  • Ensure financial controls are in place and work with business partners to own financial result
  • Work with Group FP&A team to assess and communicate business performance.
  • Partnering with the Sustainability team to facilitate effective and efficient processes 
  • Pro-actively rationalise reporting and ad hoc requests, through a culture of continuous improvement 
  • Produce and manage regular reporting packs, ad hoc papers and contribute to relevant Board / Executive Committee papers

Group Finance Support

  • Maintain Group view of Sustainability spend including:
  • Collaborate cross functionally across the group to support the:
  • Development and maintenance of master tracking list of Sustainability investment across the Group
  • Development of F22 Budget view and future years
  • Development of processes to capture FC view and maintain quarterly update
  • Support development of, and maintain Sustainability Group Finance quarterly reporting pack
  • Work closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders in shared services, corporate and across business units to process improve and automate tracking and reporting
  • Drive Sustainability benchmarking analysis 

General Support

  • Deliver presentations as required
  • Business partner and co-ordinate across functions to support data strategy for Sustainability and Finance
  • Support modelling and analysis of projects across Sustainability 
  • Other projects/ad hoc duties as required

Competencies and capabilities required:

  • CA / CPA Qualification preferred but not essential 
  • Strong data analysis and modelling skills to analyse and summarise high volumes of data
  • Strong presentation and storyboarding skills
  • Ensure the approach and output is simple, structured, accurate and robust
  • Synthesise large amounts of data from a variety of sources
  • Able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience; able to make the complex simple
  • Prioritise team efforts to support business requirements
  • Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros), Powerpoint, SAP
