This brilliant civil construction company consistently works with blue chip mining companies in Western Australia due to their reliable and trusted long-term relationships. They specialise in the construction of earthworks, concrete and civils projects and all types of minesite infrastructure, and they now require an HSE Officer to start IMMEDIATELY on a package of work secured on a major greenfields minesite development.

About the Role

\n

As HSE Officer you will work on 2/1 FIFO basis on site to manage and implement the site HSE management plan, and to ensure up-keep of all safety related documentation and reporting requirements for compliance purposes for the client. You will help drive an injury-free safety culture and ensure HSE compliance across the construction site in line with the client's (major mining company) framework, and maintain relevant HSE registers, stats and prepare reports as required. As HSE Officer you will monitor daily construction activities and liaise with the workforce to convey health and safety requirements while maintaining an even mix of field and office-based duties. These may include reviewing JHAs, undertaking risk assessments, hazard identification, site auditing, incident investigations and reporting. All flights, meals and accommodation will be provided. This is a permanent role offering a cracking salary of $120K Base + 30% uplift ($168K Total package). This is a long-term project that will provide stable job security for the foreseeable future within a great company.

Skills, Qualifications and Other Requirements

  • Minimum CERT IV in OH&S
  • \n
  • 3+ years experience on construction projects in Western Australia as a HSE OFFICER/ADVISOR while working for contractors (not client side)
  • \n
  • Past success as HSE OFFICER/ADVISOR implementing HSE management plans and requirements on remote WA civil construction sites in mining
  • \n
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills and excellent competency across the MS Office suite
  • \n
  • Solid working knowledge of WA HSE legislation and minesite HSE regulations
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise at all levels with various stakeholders
  • \n
  • Currently Perth/WA based and AVAILABLE ASAP on 2/1 FIFO basis
  • \n
  • Clean WA Driver's License and able to pass pre-employment Medical/DAS
  • \n
  • Able to supply 2 favorable references from within the last 5 years
  • \n
