The Role 
The supermarket Store support team provides support for the national supermarkets and state support teams and is the foundation that drives out business forward, Information Management; and Data Partnerships.  Our team aims to ensure that changes are landed right the first time and make things simpler for stores in line with our values. We collaborate to provide insight on problems, opportunities and current process opportunities, and to shape successful business decisions and generate innovative ideas.  
Within the team we have a mix of operational leaders and subject matter experts that work to encompass the broad spread of experience required to deliver to 1000 supermarkets nationally.  

The purpose of this role is to understand Store loss and develop tools and insights to highlight opportunities across stores. This role also involves engaging and influencing stakeholders.
In this role, key responsibilities will be to:

  • Proactively identify insights and build dashboards using Tableau.
  • Perform ETL processes across databases and Tsql’s.
  • Analyse stock loss and other datasets and produce reports on a regular basis
  • Review large data sets and identify trends/patterns consistent with loss/fraud indicators
  • Conduct deep dive analysis on identified topics
  • Interact with loss and investigation partners to highlight opportunities.

Who we’re looking for
The suitable candidate will have:

  • 5+ years experience in the BI space
  • Proficiency in Tableau
  • Should be proficient in SQL, ETL, Data warehouse, GCP (Big Query) 
  • High level of analytic skills and ability with significant experience in this type of role
  • Able to interpret data and produce detailed commentary and targeted reporting outputs
  • Sound ability to influence, negotiate and drive change
  • Ability to influence stakeholders
  • Review large data sets and identify trends/patterns consistent with loss/fraud indicators
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Effective delivery within defined constraints
  • Familiar with business analysis techniques in modelling and understanding business operations
  • Familiar with data modelling tools and techniques
