 The Project

 

The Warringah Freeway Upgrade will include upgrades to four kilometres of the Warringah Freeway, one of Australia’s busiest freeways, to allow for the connection of the Western Harbour Tunnel and Beaches Link tunnels.

 

The Warringah Freeway Upgrade project area extends from Milsons Point to Naremburn and includes new bridge and road ramp structures, local surface road upgrades and other ancillary work. The upgrade will improve traffic flow and reduce traffic weaving, making the Warringah Freeway easier to navigate and safer for commuters. Public and active transport will also be improved including a free-flowing continuous bus lane, new and upgraded cycle ways and pedestrian connections.

 

This iconic project will change the way people move around Sydney and shape the future of the city’s road network.

 

 

The opportunity

 

This is a career defining opportunity to develop and deliver a historic infrastructure project within Sydney’s busiest road corridor. You will be responsible for managing the interface and stakeholder relationships with utility authorities, rail authorities and telecommunication carriers within a program office.

 

The role will work with the project team and delivery partners throughout the design, construction and handover phases to identify and resolve utility issues during design and construction, to ensure effective cooperation and issue resolution between organisations. The position will also manage relationships and project issues with utilities authorities.

About you

 

You will operates with a high level of autonomy and is expected to determine key operational objectives within delegated authority limits. You will be accountable for the delivery of assigned work and is responsible for the service's quality, integrity, and validity.

 

With proven experience in the infrastructure industry, you will have experience in the management of utility locations and relocations as well as a Solid understanding of the processes of road design and construction and the impacts of utilities on those projects and of the impact of utilities on existing road and bridge assets

 

In addition, you will demonstrate knowledge of relevant State and Federal legislation and experience in reading and interpreting road design plans, property plans and land titles

 

 

Salary and Benefits

 

The salary for this position is Grade 9 ($116,939 - $125,712) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading. Fixed Term-Full Time until June 2025. For more information on Employee Benefits at Transport please click here.
