The opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of aerospace and delivering some of the nation\'s most important programs for the Australian Defence Force.

We are seeking a talented Project/Product Management Specialistwith business and software-product management experience to drive the commercial uptake and value creation of our advanced data analytics products and services in partnership with Boeing\'s business units in Australia and around the world. The role reports to the Director, Emerging Markets and can be based in Brisbane, Adelaide or Newcastle.

If you have experience in taking cutting-edge technology solutions and products to market, building strategies for growth, and working with internal stakeholders, customers and the market to create value and build a business in an agile and fast-moving environment, this role might be for you.

Responsibilities


- Product and Business planning - development of opportunities, solutions and business cases/proposals
- Market and competitor intelligence
- Driving sales and marketing for new business development in collaboration with Australian and international Boeing business units
- Leadership - creating organisational energy and momentum, and positioning the data analytics area for long term growth and success
- Budget management and planning - sales forecasting and cost management
- Program governance and reporting
- Intellectual Property management
- Compliance with Boeing policy and procedures; statutory and customer requirements
- Close liaison with technical solution and product development teams


Experience/Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have a collaborative team approach, well developed analytical skills and excellent written and verbal skills. You must be someone who can work autonomously who is comfortable driving continuous improvement.


- A background in product management, project management, business development or consulting in a B2B data/software business environment
- Knowledge of engineering processes and tools, ideally within a defence aviation context
- A proven ability to develop positive, effective stakeholder relationships in a matrix organisation
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to exert influence at multiple organisational levels
- High level communication and negotiation skills that facilitate interaction between key internal and external customer groups
- Experience of Agile software development and project management
