ProTen farms are strategically located in New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia with a total of 560 sheds in operation on 47 farms.

New Projects that are to be developed over the next five years are in the planning and approval stages and should commence in late 2020.

About the Opportunities

ProTen currently have a number of opportunities for Farm Managers and Trainee Farm Managers to join their teams in NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia as well as Poultry Farm Supervisor in our South Australian Farm 5 located at 718, Augusta Hwy, Beaufort, Sa, 5550, on a full-time basis. Farm Manager

Working within one of the 24 farms across the Griffith region in New South Wales or the South Australian, Western Australia, Queensland and Victorian farming regions. Farm Managers will be responsible for managing the day to day operations within cutting edge, tunnel ventilated broiler bird farms, providing strong leadership and management to a small team of approximately six to eight staff, in order to ensure cost effective and efficient bird production.

As the Farm Manager, your main duties will include (but not limited to):

· Managing staff in order to enhance farm performance and cost effectiveness;

· Resolving staff conflict and disagreements;

· Liaising with producer company representatives, ensuring positive working relationships are maintained;

· Using different shed management techniques in order to find optimum bird growing requirements;

· Maintaining a high level of farm presentation at all times; and

· Ensuring bio-security, health and safety, environmental and animal welfare procedures are adhered to at all times.

To be considered for the farm manager position, you’ll need to have at least two years’ experience in managing the operations of a broiler and/or breeder farm. You’ll be a strong leader, with experience managing staff and a dedication to ensuring you achieve a high level of quality in the operations you manage.

You'll be offered a highly attractive remuneration salary of $73,000 - $93,000 per annum based on skills, experience and farm size, including,

· Generous performance-based incentives

· Superannuation Fund

· Accommodation (3-4 bedroom company house)

· Utility Cost (water, electricity and gas)

Poultry Farm Supervisor

As a Poultry Farm Supervisor, you'll collaborate with, and provide support to, the farm manager through assisting with all of their duties and responsibilities.

Candidates applying for the assistant farm manager role will need to have at least two years’ experience in supervisory roles within broiler/breeder farms. You’ll be confident in working closely with staff in order to provide guidance and support, and take a collaborative approach as you work alongside the farm manager.

You'll be offered a highly attractive remuneration salary of $65,000 - $75,000 per annum based on skills, experience and farm size, including:

· Generous performance-based incentives

· Superannuation Fund

· Accommodation (3-4 bedroom company house)

· Utility Cost (water, electricity and gas)

Trainee Farm Manager
As a trainee farm manager, you will work closely with the farm manager and assistant farm manager to provide support and develop your skills and knowledge in broiler farm management.

Candidates who have a strong interest in the agricultural industry, alongside a driven attitude and the ability and willingness to learn, are invited to apply for the trainee farm manager role. Industry experience will be highly regarded, however full training will be provided to the right candidates. You'll be ready to take initiative and constantly build on your knowledge through directed and self-directed learning.

Renumeration for trainee manager is based on experience.
