    About the role

    As an integral member of the Process Transformation team a key accountability is to build and continuously improve our operating model and methodologies for PT in Uniting.

    You will identify, lead and support process improvement initiatives and achieve quantifiable outcomes. Apply a human centred design (HCD) approach in your work and provide guidance and education in this with your team. Apply a lean/Six Sigma approach in your work

    Specifically your role will:

  • Identify and prioritise business processes for improvement and manage the work backlog within the governance framework
  • Create transformation roadmaps
  • Lead mapping of process current state: baseline, current state process, customer journey maps. 
  • Lead the team in deploying HCD methods to identify customer needs and create customer/mindset segments
  • Lead the team with HCD methods to create and document the transformation target state. 
  • Identify and direct appropriate Lean/SixSigma tools to design and optimise business processes. Lead root cause identification and solution design
  • In collaboration with process owners, implement a management system for key processes. Run workshops with business leaders and process participants to facilitate PT. Create transformation roadmaps
  • Measure process improvements and create reports to the executive team
  • Lead mapping of process current state: baseline, current state process, customer journey maps

  • Qualifications & Experience & about you

  • Bachelor qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • This is a lead role and will require 8-10 years' or more experience
  • You'll have proven process mapping and improvement skills including value streams and customer journeys
  • Demonstrated experience with human centred design approach and methodologies
  • Ability to lead, and facilitate process improvement workshops in person, and virtual with the use of digital collaboration software
  • Ability to simplify complex information and ideas and articulate them clearly through written text, diagrams and slides
  • Possess good knowledge of process mapping and digital collaborations software MS Visio and Miro)
  • Be able to operate on a strategic level as well as hands on at front end
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to research, collect and use data to inform decision making
  • You work in an independent and self-directed manner

  • Formal HCD training
  • Post graduate qualification in Business Administration or Process Improvement
  • Complex organisation-wide change experience
  • Understanding of Mission driven organisations
