About the role:
This unique and exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator / Registered Nurse to join the friendly team at Quirindi Community Hospital from 2022! These roles will see you working as a Clinical Nurse Educator 12 hours per week and as a Registered Nurse 26 hours per week as the incharge of shift in our Emergency Department and General Ward, allowing you to enjoy role variety. As a Clinical Nurse Educator you will ensure coverage of clinical education of the ward, emergency and HealthOne staff and will provide outreach education to Werris Creek. As a Registered Nurse incharge, you will have the opportunity to apply your leadership and mentoring skills and coordinate project timetables and milestones. You will be supported with onsite orientation and educational opportunities with the Rural Health Services Clinical Nurse Educator for the Peel Sector, the Rural Critical Care Nurse Educator, and the Clinical Nurse Consultant – Rural Critical care.

About you:
You are a highly motivated Registered Nurse with relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or clinical experience deemed appropriate. You are credentialed as a DETECT or DETECT Junior trainer or willing to obtain, as well as credentialed in triage and ALS or willing to obtain. You have strong communication skills, tailoring and adapting to different audiences and individuals to achieve optimal individualised outcomes.

To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.

All NSW Health workers are required to have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by 30 September 2021 and two doses by 30 November 2021 or have an approved medical contraindication certificate. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
