Hotel Grand Chancellor Palm Cove is the perfect holiday spot featuring 2 swimming pools, restaurant, bar, alfresco dining and dedicated conference & events centre.We are currently a seeking a Full Time Salaried Front Office Supervisor. The successful applicant will need to be able to work unsupervised, possess a welcoming personality and be flexible to work a variety of shifts. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the hands on day to day supervision of our Front desk, not only meeting our guests' arrival and departure needs, but for bringing our hotel to life, engaging with our guests and handling any issues which arise.DUTIES INCLUDE: Coordinate daily operation of the Front Office Greeting and welcoming guests Reception duties such as check-ins, check-outs, account settlements, room assignment and guest inquiries. Answer incoming calls from desk phones and connect as necessary, according to policies and procedures. Deliver exceptional customer service to all guests and handle guest complaints with patience and in the most professional manner. Ensures all guest requests are handled promptly and professionally. Complete shift audit, hand over floats to incoming Duty Manager. Liaise closely with and build relationships with other department heads such as Housekeeping, Maintenance and F&B to ensure rooms and the hotel is managed in accordance to requirements. Liaise with Reservations team regarding any changes in arrivals, departures, groups and VIP's. Supervise and train front office staff. REQUIREMENTS Experience working in a similar environment. Excellent computer skills Excellent presentation and communication skills. Excellent grooming and presentation. Ability to communicate across different departments throughout the hotel. Committed to providing superior customer service. Ability to work a variety of shifts AM, PM shifts including weekends and public holidays and the occasional graveyard shift.
