About the role

We are looking for a Welder who can Pipe Fit to work on a new project in our construction team bus in bus out to Chinchilla on a 3:1 roster (all accomodation and food provided). This role will be be 12 hour days, based between Dalby and Chinchilla starting 6 October with a weld test on 30/09. This temporary assignment will be running until December with the possibility of extension through 2022 with contract renewal.

As Pipefitter/Welder you will be responsible for the following-

  • Pipefitting Work in the construction of a greenfields gas site
  • GTAW on Carbon and Stainless and GTAW/MMAW all positional on Carbon pipe and MMAW all positional on Structural
  • Understanding of schedule and Organizing of works

About you

We are looking for Welder Pipe Fitters to apply who have the following skills and competencies-

  • An ability to work across both pipefitting and pipe welding
  • Ability to pass a weld test on DN25 to DN900 and able to perform GTAW on Carbon and Stainless and GTAW/MMAW all positional on Carbon pipe and MMAW all positional on Structural.
  • Previous Oil and Gas experience in a Welding/pipefitting position
  • Fabrication trade certificate and welding tickets
  • White card and confined spaces (preferred but not essential)
  • Good communication and attitude towards safety
  • Atleast 1 year in the last 2 years experience in the Oil and gas industry. Or willingness to obtain an industry safety induction (reimbursed once working)
